Last year, student’s from MEMO were able to work with doctors, dentists, and pharmacists in order to reach out to the local community in Westminster. This year, we’re doing it again! Suffice to say, MEMO is excited to host their second annual Health Fair January 15th, this coming Sunday!

LOCATION: Westminster Civic Center, 8200 Westminster Blvd. Westminster, CA 92683
TIME: 11 AM – 4 PM on January 15th, 2012
PLEASE NOTE TIME AND LOCATION ARE DIFFERENT FROM THE HEALTH FLYER ABOVE.

For members participating, if you have not signed up, you may do so here. Also, remember to fill out the HIPPA forms before participating in the Health Fair. Please see more details in the Events page for proper attire and other necessary information such as training day.

It’s truly a great experience to be working alongside with these health professionals to help those who cannot afford proper healthcare.  See you there!!!

MEMO’s going to kick off to a good start for the new year by hosting a myriad of events in the month of January:

1: 6G MEMO Applications are DUE on JANUARY 13TH.  Be sure to email us an electronic copy AND bring a copy to your first general meeting at your UC.

2: Please keep an eye out for an email by MEMO for any updates from us. It’ll contain updated information about our highly anticipated events such as Mission applications, our second annual Health Fair, and mission interviews! Furthermore, your secretaries will notify you with the time, date, and location of your first general meeting at your UC of the 2012 Winter Quarter.

THIS IS VITAL FOR THOSE CONSIDERING ON GOING TO MEMO 6G AS MISSION APPLICATIONS ARE DUE AT THIS MEETING.

4: MEMO board hopes that you all had a great holiday season thus far.  Now that our break is almost over, it’s time to get back to work and make the best of the new year, 2012!

It’s that time of year to give and get back.  For the guys, that means if you give your time to help gift wrap, what you’ll get back is the life lesson on how to gift wrap. (That’s how it was for a few of us last year)
For the girls, well… it just means that you’re awesome!

Finals are stressful, for sure. So hang out with your friends, MEMO, and chill out that stress by skating with us this Saturday, 12/10/2011!
Location: The Rinks @ Westminster (Springdale St).
Time: 12 PM – 2 PM.
Remember to sell tickets by bringing your friends and family! Not only do we appreciate you helping our cause, but the kids who need medical and educational attention in Vietnam appreciate it more dearly so.

Had a long day of school? Tired of studying? Well, a good fix for that is to take a break. And since your brain (which uses up ~50% of the glucose in your body) also needs some energy, it’d be a great idea for you to come to our week 10 general meeting tomorrow.  Why? Because we’re having a fun and filling potluck! Bring whatever you’d like to bring, homemade or not… but please note, whoever does bring the best homemade item will win a free MEMO T-shirt!

This Saturday, we are going to have a fun fundraiser by eating at CPK!
This is a GREAT way to fundraise and fill yourself up. You know you want DAT PIZZA!
Just show your waiter or waitress this flyer and 20% of the proceeds will go to MEMO’s cause.
MEMO plans to meet up and be there around 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM.  If you need a ride, don’t hesitate to ask on our facebook group!
Also, please note that this is an all day event.

MEMO’s also going up to LA for a TV taping event on Saturday as well from 12:30 PM – 4:30 PM. Rides are also available on the facebook group. This is another excellent way to fundraise money because not only do we get money from being on TV, but you also have a chance to be in the show and be one of the contestants to win prizes! Last year, one of our member’s won snowboarding gear valued at hundreds of dollars. Come, it’ll be lots of fun!
